Zoe-perry

Perry was born the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. One of her first TV appearances were as Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother portrayed the role. She did not explore acting as a profession after reaching adulthood, as her parents were afraid of the negative impact stress might have. Perry claimed that she was too nervous to be an actor at the age of 16, but she began acting in theater classes at Northwestern University as a way to meet new people after she transferred to the university from Boston University. Perry started her acting career as an actress in New York after graduation, landing minor role on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry go back to California to work as a stage actress. In 2013 she performed in The Other Place on Broadway along with her mother. She performed with the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry played nine roles in The Family, an ABC film The Family, in 2016. In 2017, Perry starred in a role on ABC's political thriller Scandal along with her father. She played the younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off show of CBS's The Big Bang Theory was another younger portrayal of her mother. Despite having a family connection to the character she received the role via an audition.
