Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is a American writer, singer and actor best known for playing Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first acting role on stage in the 50s. After that, she performed in several Broadway productions before she became an international star together with Li'l Abner, in the year 1957. The same year, she debuted her debut musical album, This is Tina Time. Her debut appearance into Hollywood was when she played Griselda on God's Little Acre which was a 1958 film. The film was met with wide praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. During this time she began her studies at Actors Studio in New York and began a relationship to Lee Strasberg as his student. Her most memorable performance came in 1964. She signed with CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise was a success in Hollywood and Broadway as a somber character in order to dispel her image as a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series, as well as Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. Recently Tapping has also emerged as an acclaimed director of well-known television shows like Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex on August 28, 1965 and her family moved to Toronto when she was three which is where she spent the rest of her childhood and adolescence. Her home was in Vancouver when she was chosen for the role of Samantha Carter.
